Autumn premiere is an original creation on music by Jiří Pavlica – in the interpretation of Hradišťan, Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, Altai Kai and Jumping Drums, and music by Henryk Górecki. It is prepared for Ballet NdB by Petr Zuska, the longtime artistic director of the National Theatre Ballet in Prague and the most outstanding Czech present choreographer. In our theater you could see three of his works – the Sonata for violin and piano by Leoš Janáček, Maria’s Dream on music by C. Saint -Saëns, C. Pugni and D.M.J. 1956–1977 on music by A. Dvořák, B. Martinů and L. Janáček. The last choreography won the main prize in the competition of contemporary ballet creation of 2001–2004 and was afterward transferred to our first Czech scene, National Theatre in Prague. Tremble is inspired by the poem by Vladimír Holan Last Leaf, but also by the contemporary image of our world in the beginning of the 21st century. More so than ever today resound the age -old questions – who are we? and where are we going? In the meaning of our ‚miniature‘ life stories and destinies, our individual motivations and what we consider good and right within a doubt of our existence. Together with Holan, we can ask the private question: What about me? The unanswered question, because it represents one of the greatest mysteries of human existence.
