Ballettdirektor des National Theater Brünn

After graduating from the Eva Jaczová Dance Conservatory in Bratislava, Radačovský joined the Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre in 1989. Within a short period of time he became a Principal Dancer. In 1992 he was invited to dance with Jiří Kylián’s Nederlands Dance Theatre (NDT) in The Hague. However, before joining NDT he accepted a six-month engagement as a soloist at the Ballet of the National Theatre Brno. During his time at NDT he had the opportunity to work with world-renowned choreographers including Jiří Kylián, Mats Ek, Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, Édouard Lock and many others. In 1999 he accepted another off er from overseas to become a Principal Dancer of Les Grand Ballets Canadiens in Montreal, Canada. He returned to the Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre in 2000 as a guest soloist and was the Company’s Artistic Director from 2006 until 2010. He was also the founder of Ballet Bratislava, leading the Company from 2011 until it was finished in 2013. Since the 2013/2014 season, he has been the Artistic Director of the Ballet of National Theatre Brno. He is currently studying Choreography at the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts (HAMU) in Prague, where he recently obtained a Bachelor’s Degree (2015). 

Radačovský began choreographing in 2002 with Les Grand Ballets Canadiens in Montreal. His debut was a work called The Letter and he continued to choreograph other works in Montreal, including Inspiration (2002) and Train Station (2004). Aft er returning to the Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre he created Change (2005), Meeting with a Swan (2007), Warhol (2007), 68 (2008) and Everest (2009). For Ballet Bratislava he mounted the productions Monos (2012), Queen (2013) and the musical Mata Hari (2013). However, Radačovský choreographed the majority of his works outside of Slovakia: in Canada for the Jeune Ballet du Québec Bolero (2006); in the USA for Grand Rapids Ballet Romeo and Juliet (2011), Black and White (2012) and Beethoven (2015); in San Francisco for Diablo Ballet Compulsive (2013). Works that he has created in the Czech Republic are True Love (2012), Together (2016) and dance version of famous musical of Leonard Bernstein West Side Story (2017) for the Ballet of the National Theatre Brno, Slavonic Quartet (2014) for the Prague Chamber Ballet, Carmen (2016) in J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen.

Other premieres that he has prepared abroad are the musical María de Buenos Aires with the National Operetta Theatre in Bucharest, Romania (2010) and Rihards Dubra’s Piano Concerto No. 3 (2014) for the Latvian National Ballet in Riga.
