A Moravian western

A Moravian western

1943. A Moravian village, part of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, is living in fear. It is here where Jura Baran, a blacksmith and Protestant, is arriving. He believes he will find a safe asylum here, but he does not win confidence of the locals who are mainly old Catholic residents. What is more, landowners in the village are facing an urgent problem. Sekal, an illegitimate son of one of the farmers, a man who was excluded from the community because of his origin, terrorises the whole area, he exploits the wild political situation and informs on other farmers to the Gestapo in order to get easily to their property. Cruel Protectorate power lends him wings and none of the honourable and respectable men knows who will be next in the row. The village council decides that there is only one solution: Sekal has to die! Before he kills everybody else. But who will take charge of such an ungrateful and dangerous task? 1943. Two tough and hard men. A brave stranger and a local villain. A fatal and inevitable conflict is approaching as relentlessly as the hour hand is coming closer and closer to the „high noon“. The collision of the blacksmith Baran and the bastard Sekal gets as far as a bloody fight.
