Jazz Goes to Janáček

…and with it the excellent Norwegian singer Elisabeth Nygard

Her debut album RISE - Eyes of a Blue Dog was released on one of the most prestigious British jazz labels, Babel, which works with jazz gurus such as Alexander Hawkins, Billy Jenkins, Christine Tobin and Huw Warren. The London Jazz Blog compared her to the famous singer Bjørk, and her unique voice did not escape the attention of the well-known duo Grasscut, who invited her to collaborate on the recording Everyone Was A Bird. She is associated with the field of experimental jazz, perhaps in part because her music does not conceal its Nordic roots. Jazz Goes to Janáček, and with it the excellent Norwegian singer–songwriter Elisabeth Nygard. On Saturday 15 October from 8pm at the Reduta Theatre.
