One of the jewels of the Janáček Opera’s autumn season: 6th, 8th and 13th November and 29 December.
Admired in particular for the beauty, range and slightly metallic tone of her voice, Maida Hundeling is one of the leading singers of dramatic roles from the opera repertoire of the 19th and 20th centuries. In the 2015/2016 season she made her debut with the Huston Grand Opera as the Foreign Princess in Rusalka. Her roles as Tosca, Turandot and Senta in The Flying Dutchman are among her best, and there is much more to look forward to. Her partner is the charismatic Danish tenor, Magnus Vigilius, this year’s debutante on the boards of the Danish National Opera, who will not only portray the painter Cavaradossi in Brno, but also Boris in Janáček’s Káťa Kabanová.
