Weekend with Janáček Brno 2016 Festival

A special tip of the Festival: Toby Spence or Ivo Kahánek with PKF – Prague Philharmonia?

This weekend, the Festival offers a number of concerts: British tenor Toby Spence debuting in the Czech Republic in Janáček’s The Diary of the One Who Disappeared. Its ambitious choir line will be opened by Prague Philharmonic Choir with Lukáš Vasilek in a concert presenting works by Janáček and Martinů, and the weekend will be topped with a unique project by PKF – Prague Philharmonia with soloist Ivo Kahánek, after Rudolf Firkušný second Czech pianist who has ever performed with the Berlin Philharmonic.

On both the days, young artists will perform at two matinées on Saturday and Sunday at 11 am. On Sunday at 3 pm, you may look forward to second Festival premiere of Katya Kabanová, this time dedicated to a major anniversary of singer Richard Novák.
