Ballet NdB – The Grange Festival
The company of the National Theatre Ballet Brno will perform at the Grange Festival with a composed evening consisting of several performances of both classical and neoclassical ballet.
In the classical part, the NdB Ballet will offer a pas de deux from the ballets Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Harlequinade or Don Quixote in traditional choreography by Marius Petipa. Mário Radačovský will present his original choreography Hidden Face, specially created for the current evening, and his other choreographies – Together to music by Franz Schubert and the playful and dynamic miniature Rossini 1, to the overture of Gioachino Rossini’s opera La Cenerentola. A significant part of the programme will be Nacho Duato’s captivating ballet Gnawa, set to music incorporating Spanish and North African sounds, which captivates the audience with its universal power of movement and sensual elegance, combining spirituality with the organic rhythms of the Mediterranean.
