João Gomes
João was born in Portugal and began dancing at the age of seven. In his early training years, he joined Academia Annarella under the guidance of Annarella Sanchez.
From the age of 15, João trained at the Conservatório de Ballet e Dança Annarella Sanchez, where he graduated and worked with prestigious teachers and coaches such as Julio Bocca, Maina Gielgud, Ramona de Sáa, among others.
In 2019, he joined the Sibiu Ballet Theatre in Romania. In 2021, he became a member of the National Theatre Brno, where he was promoted to demi-soloist in 2023 and to soloist in 2025.
His repertoire includes works by choreographers such as Nacho Duato, Jiří Kylián, George Balanchine, Johan Inger, Edward Clug, Jiři Bubenicek and others.
