Rodolfo Castellanos
As a graduate, fresh out of la Escuela Nacional de Arte de la Habana, Rodolfo joined the corps de ballet of the Ballet Nacional de Cuba (BNC) in 1973. From the start his career has been rich in opportunities and varied in experiences. Within a few years he had already danced most of the classical repertoire and many contemporary works. Rodolfo was noticed and acclaimed for his interpretations of the ballet Sensemaya by the international critics at the Fourth Festival International de ballet de Habana in 1977. In 1979 he achieved the Principal status with the Ballet Nacional de Cuba. As a member of the BNC but also as a guest Rodolfo travelled around the world extensively. His adaptability and high mobility led him to Europe in 1992 where after collaboration with John Wisman, the Deutsche Choreographer, led Rodolfo to be invited at Carmen Roche’s Centro Internacional de Danza and at the Real Conservatorio de Danza de Madrid. This was followed by many other invitations to work as Maitre de Ballet and Instructor.
