Thoriso Magongwa
Ballet Master
Trained at the Ballet Theatre African Academy and simultaneously attended the National School of the Arts in Johannesburg where the training includes classical ballet, contemporary/modern and Spanish dancing. From 2002 to 2009 he was a solo dancer in the ballet company of Theatre African. Between 2009 and 2014 he participated as a guest artist on many projects, performances and gala in South Africa, Germany, Austria and Russia. He is currently a soloist of The National Theatre Brno, where he is also dancing solo parts in classical and contemporary repertoire: Petit Mort and Sarabande by Jiří Kylián, Friend of Prince, soloist in Neapolitan and Hungarian dance in Swan Lake, Spanish dance in The Nutcracker, Carabosse in The Sleeping Beauty, The Death – Deafness in The Beethoven etc.
