Since the beginning of the 2022 / 23 season, a long-prepared and unique project of a junior ballet company called Ballet NdB2 has been born at the NdB Ballet. Thus, in September 2022, a new company of young talented dancers from different parts of the world, who will be closely connected to the main artistic company, will come to life. The project, which is unprecedented in Central and Eastern Europe, was organised and promoted by the artistic director of Ballet NdB, Mário Radačovský, with the support of NdB General Director Martin Glaser and the South Moravian Region.

The company is now entering its 3rd season. The company currently includes 12 dancers from the Czech Republic, Canada, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Japan and Germany under the direction of former soloist Uladzimir Ivanou and ballet master Markéta Pimek Habalová. The dancers are part of the most important, not only classical titles from the NdB Ballet repertoire, but will also perform in other projects. In addition to their active participation with the main company, they are an independent unit. Purely in their production, two premieres per year will be given at the Reduta Theatre.

NdB2 has already had 2 successful seasons. In addition to staging 4 premiere programs of their own on home stage at Theatre Reduta, this young company embarked on their first world tour in March 2024. In June of the same year, NdB2 was invited to perform at The Next Generation Festival at the Royal Opera House in London. Here, again with a composite programme, they opened the prestigious festival of junior ballet companies. This was the first ever all-company performance of the National Theatre Brno at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
