Join us for the opening celebrations of the National Theatre Brno’s 2026/2027 season!

On September 2, 2026, the piazzetta in front of the Janáček Theatre will come alive with an open-air concert by the Janáček Opera NdB.
You can look forward to the soloists, chorus, and orchestra of the Janáček Opera NdB under the baton of Chief Conductor Robert Kružík and his colleagues Ondrej Olos, Jakub Klecker, and Dominik Pernica.
Joining them to make your evening special will be dancers from the NdB Ballet and NdB2, while actors from the NdB Drama ensemble, Pavel Čeněk Vaculík and Anna Gläsnerová, will take on the roles of your hosts for the evening.
This time, the piazzetta will open to the public as early as the afternoon – a rich programme for the whole family awaits before the concert begins.
Refreshments on the piazzetta will be provided this year by Basta catering.
Once again, you can look forward to the Mint Market, where from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. you can treat yourself to a selection of fresh fashion, original jewellery, design pieces, and delicacies from local creators.
