Join the celebrations of the opening of the 2023/2024 season of the National Theater Brno!
On September 7, 2023, the piazzetta in front of Janáček´s theater will come alive with open air concert by Janáček´s opera NdB.
We start at 18:00. Entry is free!
At this wonderful musical event, we will also present to you all the premieres and festivals of the NdB that await us in the new season.
We have prepared for you examples from the NdB opera titles as well as music examples from the premiere productions of the upcoming season.
You can look forward to the soloists of Janaček´s opera: Tereza Kyzlinková, Ondřej Koplík, Andrea Široká, Roman Hoza, Pavla Vykopalová, Jan Šťáva, Jana Šrejma Kačírková and Peter Berger. The choir and orchestra of the Janáček Opera will also be present.
This year, the NdB drama has also prepared a program for you and you can look forward for the actors Martin Sláma and Kateřina Liďáková.
As part of the event, a specially tuned Fashion Market by Love Music will take place right on the piazzetta.
Come celebrate the beginning of the new theater season with us!
On November 4, 2023, we cordially invite you to a concert by the Janáček Opera Orchestra NdB under the direction of conductor Robert Kružík and with special guests – violinist Josef Špaček, soprano Kateřina Kněžíková and baritone Ivan Kusnjer. In Mahen’s theater, the place of world premieres of Janáček’s operas, not only parts of his opera work will be performed, but also works connected with their origins in Brno. In addition to Leoš Janáček, visitors can look forward to the work of Pavel Haas, Bohuslav Martinů and Vítězslava Kaprálové. The evening will include the ceremonial announcement of the program and the start of ticket sales for the 9th annual Janáček Brno 2024 festival.
