Every summer, Biskupský dvůr transforms into an open-air theatre, and Balet NdB brings a programme worth seeing. This year’s main title is Romeo and Juliet – Shakespeare’s story of two young people from rival families, which may end in tragedy, but offers stunning choreography by Mário Radačovský set to the music of Sergei Prokofiev. Whether or not you caught this production at the Janáček Theatre, don’t miss the specially adapted open-air version. Biskupský dvůr is the perfect setting for a summer evening: in the heart of the city, with the Petrov cathedral as a backdrop – romance guaranteed. Last year Romeo and Juliet was absent from Biskupský dvůr; this year we bring it back for four performances.

The final Sunday evening will belong to our junior company. NdB 2 will present a specially curated selection of summer-spirited titles from their repertoire.
