An effective solution to the housing crisis
Finding suitable housing is difficult these days – and when your requirements are determined by a child who is about to be born and your scanty options are limited by a low income, the search for an apartment becomes an unsolvable puzzle. Fortunately, the young couple meets a special real estate agent who gives them a house that is not completely dilapidated, arranges the move, prepares and takes care of everything – without a single hitch or scam. At least until an unfortunate accident causes a death in the house and, as if by magic, the area around the corpse renovates itself. This, of course, casts the house in a completely different light. And the subsequent complete renovation casts a completely different light on the previously likable couple.
Philip Ridley (born 1964) is a British playwright and screenwriter, author of many genre (primarily horror) plays and musicals. Radiant Vermin is a horror comedy about issues that are just as pressing in London as they are in Brno – in addition to the housing crisis, the horror genre also tackles the issues of homelessness, consumerism, and class inequality, combining them into one big show.
